Written and composed by the Maza, Alamar unfolds through a singular dialogue between voice and cello, blending musical traditions from the Americas with a refined, modern sensibility. Born in Cuba, and trained between Spain and Europe, Ana Carla Maza has developed a distinctive artistic world in which the musical traditions of the Americas, Cuban jazz, son, bolero, cha-cha-cha, bachata, and merengue meet an elegant, contemporary musical voice. Daughter of composer and guitarist Carlos Maza (Newen Tahiel), she grew up in a bilingual musical environment rooted in Chilean and Cuban heritage. 'Alamar is her most personal album to date: nine original compositions recorded at Studios Lautaro - a family studio built by her father.
