Archive has never really been a band that do cover versions, preferring to forge their own musical direction, absorbed in their own creations. When they started their Patreon fan subscription service they decided to explore the world of the cover version, searching out âclassic" songs that the band felt had potential for reinterpretation. The resulting 'Show Me Heaven EPâ released on limited edition 10â red-splatter vinyl represents three of their most successful experiments. Archive founding member Darius Keeler says of the release, âWe felt that the reinterpretations worked so well we wanted to bring them to a wider audience, and weâve always wanted to do something for Record Store Day, so putting the two wishes together seemed like the perfect solution!â
