The vocals and instrumentation of the project were almost entirely played by Marco and recorded in his son's bedroom on one single microphone, creating a deeply personal project, that has been beautifully executed. The process was freeing for Marco; "there was a huge element of catharsis about it. A lot of the lyrics were written to exorcise some of the despair and fury I was feeling about the unchecked inhumanity which characterises so much of today's political landscape; and the process of actually recording the songs meant doing something creative instead of reflexively doomscrolling".
