Lokalt Piano will be launched in spring 2026 with a series of taster sessions with âpop-upâ concerts that utilise local opportunities found in Nesodden. The events will take place in everything from small churches to shantytowns, local museums and mines to small and large forest groves and studios â all places that have created and shaped the music, lyrics and artwork that accompany this album. These smaller and âsecretâ concerts will lead to the entire album being performed at the Nesodden Jazz Festival! Morten Qvenild (1978) has been one of the most creative and groundbreaking musicians in European "jazz" and other related musical movements for the past 25 years. His first solo album PERSONAL PIANO was nominated for the Spellemannprisen in 2016 and now the sequel LOKALT PIANO will be released in 2026. He has participated in several bands and on around 150 albums, including A-ha, In the Country, The National Bank, Solveig Slettahjell Slomo Quintet, Susanne SundfĂžr, Arve Henriksen, Thomas Dybdahl, Martin Hagfors, Ingrid Olava, The Budding Rose, Marit Larsen, Nils Petter MolvĂŠr, Shining, Jaga Jazzist, Benedicte Maurset and Susanna and the Magical Orchestra.
